The Gateway Youth Aeronautical Foundation sponsors and participates in STEM programs and community events in cooperation with other organizations. Through the spring and summer of 2020, the foundation's initial offering, the mobile F-4 Phantom II cockpit exhibit, was refurbished and prepared for event appearances. The restoration to flight of the Bell OH-58 Kiowa helicopter has also begun, and much progress will be made through the rest of the year. These programs are described in more detail on the previous tabs in this section. Here we feature the STEM programs and community events in which the Gateway Youth Aeronautical Foundation participates.
The Gateway Youth Aeronautical Foundation launches the Discovery Flight program in partnership with Gateway Flight Training at Creve Coeur Airport. This local flight with a Certified Flight Instructor is a great hands-on way to experience flight in a general aviation aircraft and get more information about flight training in a low-pressure environment. The half-price Discovery Flight coupon can be found on the home page of this website.
