The Gateway Youth Aeronautical Foundation sponsors and participates in STEM programs and community events in cooperation with other organizations. The mobile F-4 Phantom II cockpit exhibit draws the attention of young and old alike at public appearances. The Bell OH-58 Kiowa helicopter is being prepared for its first flight, and it will be available for STEM outreach next year. These programs are described in more detail on the previous tabs in this section. Here we feature some examples of the STEM programs and community events in which the Gateway Youth Aeronautical Foundation participates.
The Gateway Youth Aeronautical Foundation has a Discovery Flight program in partnership with Gateway Flight Training at Creve Coeur Airport. This local flight with a Certified Flight Instructor is a great hands-on way to experience flight in a general aviation aircraft and get more information about flight training in a low-pressure environment. The half-price Discovery Flight coupon can be found below and on the home page of this website.
